The Delta Discotheque is also able to provide entertainment for Children's Parties where games, prizes and disco music is required.

Your DJ, Pete, well as being able to organise a host of games to entertain your children and their friends at their party is also an expert balloon modeler. This goes down well with any age range and adds a real something special to the party that the children, as well as their parents, will still be talking about some time after the party!

The children's party disco is ideal for ages of 5 yrs old and upwards. Any age is fine, except for the under 5 yrs who only enjoy the balloon modeling, as they are too young to be involved in the games. For the under 5 yrs we advise the clown/magic style of party for which we have some good friends who provide this we can put you in contact with.

The entertainment provided is a lot more than just playing music and hoping the children enjoy it and get on with things by themselves. It involves a lot of effort by your DJ, getting out the front with the children and joining in, organising the games, teaching the dances and adding as much fun and excitement to the party as possible!

The games are always tailored to the party itself and will depend on the age of the children attending. If they are between 5 - 8 yrs old you could expect the usual party games like Musical Chairs and Musical Bumps. If they are older and feel this too childish for them, they can just as easily be entertained with dancing contests and karaoke style singing on the microphone to their favourite songs. Either way we decide this on the day through talking to the customer and the children attending. There are also a few games we play that involve all of the children all the time form start to finish (without the need for having some in and some out like musical chairs if not organised correctly), like the Limbo contest and Balloon race. These games will appeal to any age range and versions of these games can even be organised for the adults at adult parties!

Many other games can be played, this is just a few from our selection. Easily enough to go on a lot longer than the usual 2 hour children's party! In fact the only game we do get asked for that we don't supply the prize for is Pass The Parcel. This can be organised by us for the party but the prize needs to be provided by the customer (please ask our advise on this as we've organised the game more than just a few times).

The prizes we provide are always small jelly based sweets in plentiful supply so everyone gets something, so no tears hopefully! And also avoids any problems with food allergies, as is always the case when using chocolate based produces.

Balloon modeling is something that all children love and comes free of charges as part of every children's disco we do. This is usually done briefly at the start of the part with all the children sat on the floor to watch. The main reason for this is simply to get them all sat down and under control first off. Then, when the children have food, usually around half way through their party, your DJ can go round making balloon models for all the children. Balloons do pop and most will be back for seconds anyway, but as long as there are no more than 30 children we can guarantee they'll all get something of their own (if numbers are larger like at School Discos, sometimes 150(!), we'll still make them the balloon models but use them as prizes as there's no way we can promise one each!).

The list of available models is constantly increasing but at present includes the following to name but a few:

Swords, shields and guns (boys favourites)
flowers and flower hats
poodles and dog hats
hats for boys
swans, mice, rabbits
sun glasses
tigers and giraffes
a 4 balloon plane
a 4 balloon motor cycle!

Balloons can also be included for adult parties to keep the children entertained during the start of a family event or even for the adults (over 18's only!)

The Children's Party Setup.

The equipment used for the children's party is only just smaller than the Regular size show described on the Wedding Mobile Disco page, which is still a lot larger than many companies provide for children's parties.
